For convenience, here we’re going to suggest how to move from and to Pescara. That’s the biggest city in Abruzzo and it’s the referral point to reach Silvi. You can reach us in the old village of Silvi Alta.
Pescara Rome by bus
Società Unica Abruzzese di Trasporto TUA and some private companies run the buses from Pescara to Rome, and back: read the time-tables here.
From Pescara Bus Station to Rome Tiburtina Station it takes a little more than 3 hours, average. There are some buses to the airports of Rome Ciampino and Rome Fiumicino.
Some of the buses Pescara-Rome and Rome-Pescara also stop in other towns in Abruzzo, as you can see in the time-tables.
Silvi Rome by bus
A focus about Silvi Marina, for example. There are some buses to and from Rome Stazione Tiburtina that stop in Silvi. You can read more on the timetable we linked above.
Pescara Rome by train
Travelers who choose the train to go from Pescara to Rome, can catch a regional train. They go along the mountain Appennini line. Timetables and prices are at www.trenitalia.com, where you can also buy your tickets.
Pescara Silvi by train
Many regional trains reach Pescara Central Station from Silvi. You can reach Silvi Marina both via SS16 street, and from the promenade, walking along Garibaldi street and then turning in De Lauretis alley.
Abruzzo Rome by car
By car, the motorway connects Abruzzo and Rome. There are also other street that, in the roman age, were important ways to link the Urbe to the rest of Italy. Tiburtina (SS5) is one of them. It’s very appreciated because of its panoramas. It runs across mountains, old villages and towns.
Silvi Rome by car
To drive the shorter motorway itinerary to go from Silvi to Rome by car you have to choose the exits Pescara Nord – Città Sant’Angelo and Roma Est. How long does it take to reach Rome? It really depends on the traffic and on the point of the City you’re reaching.
