Culture tourism
A special mention to Atri, the village of Art next to Silvi. Atri saves many architectures, from the roman age till today, with a jewel cathedral and a stunning church Museum. As interesting as Atri is Castelli, very known because of its porcelain tradition. It takes more or less one hour to reach it by car. You can’t forget to visit the beautiful Sulmona, also called Siena of Abruzzo, that was the hometown of the roman poet Ovidio… and of confetti!
Not far from Silvi, Pescara gave birth to Gabriele D’Annunzio. You can visit his native home and the Museo delle Genti d’Abruzzo in Old Pescara. In the picture, instead, you see the fort of Civitella del Tronto, near Teramo.
Never stop learning, even while on holiday?
